1. Information Passed to Publishers
Discount Publications will pass only essential customer information to magazine publishers, or their subscription agents, to enable them to send subscriptions to customers directly. This will enable our customers to receive their subscriptions at the earliest opportunity and is fully in line with standard industry practice for subscription intermediaries such as Discount Publications.
2. Credit Card Information
For most subscriptions, Discount Publications will process customer credit cards directly through the secure Paypal payment network. In this case Discount Publications will never have access to a customer's card details. In any other case where customers give the company such details, Discount Publications may pass on customer credit card details to the publisher, or their agent, for processing, and will then delete this information from its database.
Discount Publications will never pass on customer credit card details to any organisation other than the relevant magazine publisher, or their agent.
3. Discount Publications Marketing
From time to time, Discount Publications would like to send our customers marketing e-mails to inform them of new and exciting products. Discount Publications will not send any marketing e-mails or postal mailings without customer authorisation.
On the payment pages, customers are asked "Would you like to be informed of future offers and promotions?". If you would like to receive marketing e-mails or postal mailings from Discount Publications, please tick this box. If this box is not ticked, Discount Publications will not send any marketing e-mails or postal mailings.
This may exclude a single reminder sent as a service to the customer when their subscription is due to expire and inviting a renewal.
If a customer decides to opt in to receive mailings, at any time, they may opt out again by sending an e-mail to unsubscribe@discountpublications.co.uk. Our systems will be updated within 48 hours of receiving the unsubscription request.
4. Third Party Marketing
Sometimes we hear about great deals or offers that other companies are running. We would like your permission to pass your email address to these companies so that they can notify you of them.
On the payment page, customers are asked "We occasionally allow other reputable companies to send special offers and mailings to our customers. Check the checkbox if you would like to be included". If this box is not ticked, Discount Publications will not pass on your details to any third parties, expect those specified in clauses 1 and 2 of this privacy policy.
If a customer decides to opt in to receive mailings from selected third parties, at any time, you may opt out again by sending an e-mail to unsubscribe@discountpublications.co.uk. Our systems will be updated within 48 hours of receiving the unsubscription request.
5. Website Cookies
When entering the Discount Publications website, your computer is issued with a cookie. Cookies are small text files that identify your computer to our server and enhance our service offerings to you. Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer used, and enable Discount Publications to 'remember' aspects of your computer's usage of our site. We will not use information gained via Cookies for marketing purposes, either internal or external to our operations.
