1. What is Discount Publications? Top

Discount Publications is an innovative company founded in 2004 to bring competitive, discounted subscription prices to the general public via the internet. Most of our prices are substantially cheaper than magazine shelf prices – GUARANTEED.

2. What happens after I order from Discount Publications? Top

When you place an order with us, we will pass on your details to the magazine’s publisher. They will then add you to their subscription list and start sending you magazines from the next available issue. Some publishers take a few weeks to process subscriptions but a confirmation e-mail from us will give you peace of mind that the subscription will start shortly.

3. What credit cards do you accept? Top

To improve security of your account details we accept credit cards through the secure Paypal gateway. This allows payment with ALL major credit and debit cards, without the need to open a new Paypal account. Consequently you are able to buy without supplying us or our publishers with your credit card details.

4. Does Discount Publications pass my credit card details to anyone Top

In some cases it is useful for customers to provide Discount Publications with their credit card details. These details may be passed on, but only for processing of payments eg. by the magazine publisher. Credit card statements will then show the processing company. After processing, these details are destroyed and deleted from any of our databases.
We will never pass on your credit card details to anyone else and nor will the magazines' publishers.

5. Can I give a subscription to a friend as a gift? Top

Magazine subscriptions make the perfect gift, for any special occasion, since they provide enjoyment for a whole year. To order a gift you simply need to enter the name and address of the recipient, during the checkout process.

7. If I buy a subscription as a gift, will I be able to give the recipient something before their subscription starts? Top

Discount Publications offers free gift certificates for every order. This means that on any special occasion (e.g. birthday, Mother's day, Christmas), you will be able to give, or have sent to the recipient something tangible to show that you have bought them a gift.

8. When will the first issue arrive? Top

The setup process for new subscriptions normally takes a couple of weeks. After this, you will receive the next issue. For weekly publications, the first issue will normally be 2-4 weeks after you place the order. For monthly publications, the first issue will normally arrive 4-6 weeks after you place the order. For a few magazines, noteably National Geographic, processing takes up to three months because of their distribution systems.
Please be aware that we cannot speed up this process!

9. How can I cancel a subscription? Top

Because our low prices are obtained by making commitments to our publishers our terms of sale include a minimum term of twelve months. Cancellation and refunds during this period cannot be arranged.

9. I'm sure my magazine is late. Top

Although our systems, and those of our publishers are well established and proven, mistakes do occasionally occur. If you or your recipient have waited for more than six weeks please email us, or use the link to the right. We will investigate, trace the order through the publisher and arrange to correct any error, and ensure the subscription is starts as soon as possible.

10. What happens if I change address? Top

No problem. Simply contact us with your old and new address details and we will ensure the magazine is delivered to your new address from the next available issue.

11. If I use Discount Publications, will I receive promotional e-mail? Top

No. We give you the opportunity to opt in to promotional emails. Otherwise you will receive from us only emails relating to your order. This may include a single invitation to renew your susbcription prior to its expiry. You are, of courser, at liberty to ignore this message.
We never pass on your email address to any third party.

12. I wish to complain. Top

We sincerely hope you don't since we try our best to resolve any issues reported to us, quickly and efectively. However, if something really has gone wrong you may write a formal complaint to us at the address below or you may contact our director directly at david@discountedpublication.co.uk
